What patterns, if any, do you see here? Where would you like to see more commercial development take place?

    One pattern I see is how defined commercial growth is along the metrorail line, especially south of downtown. It maybe more of an affirmation of US1’s importance than the metrorail’s but still, it’s noticable

    I bet if you mapped “mixed use” land uses the number of properties shown would be so small you wouldn’t even notice they existed.

    Seth, look carefully, their is more red area on US1 south of Dadeland than north of it. Metrorail doesn’t run down there.

    One place that stands out as a area that needs much more development is the northern part of S. Dixie, especially around the Vizcaya Metrorail station. It’s surrounded by other dense neighborhoods, Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Little Havana. It should have a lot more density so more people would use mass transit and walk instead of using cars.

    You’re pretty much spot on, but there are a few caveats to consider, which are mentioned in the post.
