    This meeting is a start. If by the beginning of this project, the FDOT fails to add some cost-effective, simple pedestrian improvements, we should absolutely organize a protest of human bodies in the street to stop the project dead in it’s tracks and get some media attention to this issue. Unelected bureaucrats that are held accountable to no one have no right to proceed with this project in my mind without taking the needs of the community in consideration.

    Actually, I should not say the meeting is a ‘start'; it’s more like a last straw. To say it is a start does not honor the efforts of many that have helped lobby the FDOT since this projects inception
